Sacred Mediaeval Music from Scotland Explore the soundworld of sacred music from mediaeval Scotland through three important manuscripts of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Participants will learn to interpret and perform pieces from each, offering a unique glimpse into mediaeval Scottish devotional life and musical practices. James Ruff, Carolin Margraf, Dr Siobhán Armstrong Introduction to a Reconstructed Method of Playing: 24 playing techniques for the wire-strung Irish harp Develop your understanding of the traditional playing techniques for the wire-strung Irish harp with Sylvia Crawford's historically informed method of playing, and learn to use these techniques to play three eighteenth-century Irish harp tunes. Sylvia Crawford, Alessia Bianchi The Craft of Pibroch: playing with the pattern 11O1 OO1O The Craft of Pibroch makes the classical music of the Highland bagpipe accessible to harp players of all levels.
