Anne Roos
Anne Roos has over thirty years of Celtic harp teaching, performance, and recording experience. She teaches in-person and online harp lessons, business coaching, educational demonstrations, and focused workshops. Anne performed on the 2015 GRAMMY® Award Winning Best New Age album, Winds of Samsara, and continues to record professionally. Anne is the author of two books published by Hal Leonard Books, including The Musician’s Guide to Brides: How to Make Money Playing Weddings. In the harp community, Anne is known for her business advice in her column “The Harper in Business” in the Folk Harp Journal. Anne studied music theory and received her formal music education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). When the Celtic harp piqued her interest, she studied harp techniques from world-renowned harpist Sylvia Woods and later contributed to her book: Music Theory & Arranging Techniques for Folk Harps. Anne applied her formal training to teaching music for the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is a member of the online teaching faculty of the Richman Music School (Los Angeles) and is an active member of the American String Teacher’s Association.
